I began my engineering career in 2007 within the Transport Planning team at Morgan Tucker. I found I had a particular interest for the more ‘hands-on’ aspects of the role and soon afterwards joined their traffic signals team. After a couple of years with WSP (where I was seconded into the Northamptonshire ITS team) I joined 4way in 2012.
I have a passion for researching emerging technologies and integrating them within innovative design solutions. This helps me to lead and develop teams of engineers at various stages of their careers and I see knowledge sharing and the encouragement of professional development as a hugely rewarding element of my role. The engineer in me still really enjoys the technical challenges on site though and I find great satisfaction in watching queue lengths reduce as a result of the positive interventions we deliver.
I enjoy exploring new places and different cultures. When I am not on my travels I do like to keep myself in shape at the gym and if I’m not there I’m probably supporting the mighty reds.
