Smart Cities: Urban ITS Discipline Lead
My career started in 2002 as a trainee technician for a local authority. Alongside the day job I studied Civil Engineering and achieved my BSc (Hons) in 2008. Since then I’ve continued to work on traffic signals design and maintenance projects, transferring from Mouchel to Atkins in 2012 before joining 4way in 2019.
I enjoy the technical aspects of traffic signal design projects where I can look to provide solutions using new products or existing technology and infrastructure in an innovative way.
I have been involved in the delivery of a variety of traffic signal design and maintenance projects alongside colleagues who have been enthusiastic about sharing knowledge. I feel this is vitally important for the future of the industry and am passionate about upskilling the next generation of Engineers.
I live in Wiltshire with my husband and two daughters. Outside of work I love to spend my time running, if I’m not ankle deep in mud on the trails looking for an adventure, then you’ll find me beekeeping with my family.
